Mindfulness is the ability to be aware of your surroundings and your internal environment without judgement. Mindful practices can be very effective in helping students to manage anxiety, anger or aggression and can provide clear strategies to develop self regulation, This session will combine research, theory and hands on strategies to begin to introduce mindful practices into your classroom the very next day. We will address the use of mindfulness with students who have experienced trauma.
